From zero to hero: building a news portal in 1 hour with Drupal 7

During this session we will build a news portal site that will replicate most of the features and the look and feel of a know Romanian media portal. We will start with a plain vanilla Drupal installation, lay down the needed data architecture, build main site sections, do some theming, import some data and then sit back and watch a brand new media portal site in action.

This is an introductory session for those that are new to Drupal in general, or to Drupal 7. You will get acquainted with most important core and community modules and learn the basics of Drupal site building.
